What do Turtles Eat?
Green Turtles
The green turtle eats mostly algae, seaweed, and seagrasses. The green turtle uses their beak to scrape algae off of rocks, and tear seaweed.
Hawksbill Turtles
The hawksbill turtle eats sea sponges. The hawksbill has a bird like beak. Their beak is long and pointy so they can get their food out of the sea sponges.
Leatherback Turtles
The leatherback turtle eats jellyfish and other soft bodied invertibrates. The leatherback turtle pierces their food with two sharp teeth. They have one tooth on top of their jaw, and one tooth on the bottom.
